A Personal Note:
Community Builders Group (CBG) is excited to take on a project for Kid Street Leaning Center. CBG has been friends with KS for over 5 years now.

Visiting the learning center for the first time I knew something special was happening here with the success of the teachers and students. Kid Street has functioned under a common banner, “Teach the heart and the mind will follow”. It was evident to me that this was just what these students needed in their lives of relationships and school education.

Kid Street has always been thankful for their school building and have always made use of what they have without complaining. The cafeteria kitchen has been in need of a remodel for several years now. The kitchen staff has had to be creative with using alternative ways to preparing and cooking the meals that are provided to the students. Students receive a breakfast before school starts as well as lunch and afternoon snacks. We want to see KS have the means to cook from a new range and ovens. Both of these appliances they have gone without. The cabinets are in bad shape and the overall function of the kitchen really doesn’t meet the needs that the staff needs to providing meals that these students deserve.

We will be removing all existing cabinets and installing new appliances and cabinets. The new design will make the cafeteria kitchen more functional and equipped with everything that they will need to make this cafeteria feel more like a warm welcomed home.

Please consider helping us complete this project by volunteering your time and energy. Together we can show KS how much we care about them and their work in these young students lives. Together we can continue to establish hope for people here in our community.

Thank you,
Ex. Dir. Laurence Becker
